A Little Color Porn

To start off the New Year - I thought we would start with this Victorian house in London.  Owned by textile designer, Chrissie Probert Jones.  She owns Stitch Designworks which is a gorgeous online textiles store.  (And no, I don't make a commission - I just love her taste).
Ikea sofas in the conservatory.
White board that covers one wall of the kitchen.
Bits and bobs from Ikea. Is this just a little too much clutter?  I realize that this has probably been styled for this photo.
Note the brick floors.  I do hope they have underfloor heating.
The Frame wallpaper is from Graham and Brown.
The runner is made up of six Ikea runners sewn together by Chrissie.  I love the striped wellies.
The Matthew Williamson from Habitat wallpaper has been customized by light reflecting jewels.

LBR (if I may): yeah, I wouldn't mind it if she took a visit to my place. I have been getting around to recovering the dining room chairs for about 8 months now.

You've inspired my blog of today. I prefer to call it inspiration, but really, it was stealing.

Oh good - I'm glad. I think Chrissie and her taste are fabulous.

Lovely post! Lovely blog! I toyed with using that "frame" wallpaper. Would love to use it in my son's bathroom...thanks for reminding me!

Chrissie Probert Jones designs are really attractive. The colors she uses in her textile products are bright and happy. giving life to the rooms they are display in .

Ikea is a designer company with designs for every corner in the house. Loved their runner stitched together for the stairways.

I'm loving this. I love Ikea (because I'm a) low rent and b) poor).
I once went to a lady's house that was rather fabulously vulgar and very 'done' and she said, "Look, darling, welcome to my home, it's my house by Versace"
When she came back to ours I said
"Look, darling, welcome to our home! It's MY house...by junqe et Ikea"

I have been having a very bad urge to paint my kitchen in different shades of HOT PINK and will either need to be forcibly STOPPED or else you'll have to come and help me with colour selection or it might go horribly wrong. This has been known to happen in the past.
A lot.
Started with looking at a Warhol-esque Marmite print I bought and then kept looking at my pale pink mixer, plus there is the AWFUL BLACK TILE I have to contend with and, well, you know the rest. HELP HELP.
Ok, you may go now... xoxoxo
